The departure of A Nice Man
Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
A very good Friday morning to all.
There was one time when my family had to move into another rented house since our house has yet to be completed its renovation early this year. This rented house is far cheaper than what we had before. Our house was an end lot. Our another end neighbour was a man, whom we called Pak Man, living with his wife.
He said he does not know how to drive. Since he had a driver all his life. He leads a good life and is retiring happily.
He said he likes to do some gardening. This is how he can sweat since he is no longer working.
He has a granddaughter aged like Aryssa. That's why he always call Aryssa whenever he sees her.
He is so kind, that whoever jogs around the neighbourhood and saw him, he will definitely say hi.
He is so soft spoken and had so many topics to talk about, to the extend you tend not to be aware of the time passed while chatting.
And yesterday, all the above will remain a memories to me. and to many other hearts he has touched. He died of heart failure.
Luckily we met when my family had a small gathering during Raya. He seems so happy. He chatted like usual. And he even played with little Aryssa.
Dear Pak Man,
I may not be the closest to you. I may not be the one holding your hands on your death bed. But i will always be the one who will remember your face, your voice and your kindness. Rest in peace. I know you will.
